Thyro-Family
AEG presents its new Thyro-Family of Thyristor Power Controllers (SCR): the Thyro-S, Thyro-A and Thyro-P series. These Power Controllers are well-equipped to meet the demands of the future, as they possess unique communication capabilities. In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

THYRO-S
Safe, fast, contactless and communication-enabled, the Thyro-S, digital thyristor switches with integrated semiconductor fuse, can be operated as a stand-alone system or combined with process controllers or PLCs also via bus interface (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU). In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

Thyro-A
Versatile, configurable and communication-enabled, Thyro-A is a ready-to-plug-in digital thyristor controller with the following operating modes: full-wave cycle principle (Thyrotakt), phase-control principle (Thyrovar) and Quick-Takt-Mode QTM (for 1-phase devices). Product features include an integrated semiconductor fuse, bus interface, and optional power regulation as well as many monitoring functions and a mains load optimizing feature (via Thyro-Power Manager or directly in QTM operation mode). It can be operated as a stand-alone system or in combination with process controls, PLC, or automation systems via various bus interfaces (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU). In addidtion TCP/IP based communication protocols such as ProfiNet, Ethernet IP and Modbus TCP/IP are being prepared.

Thyro-A…C02 (VSC - Voltage Sequence Control Power Controller)
The Thyro-A…C02 devices are designed for two-step, primary sequence control. Generally, a Thyro-A 1A…C02 consists of two single-phase Thyro-A 1A devices. In phase-angle or VAR operating mode, the level control of both devices depends on the set point. Stage 1 (Master) operates from 0% to x%, whereas stage 2 (Slave) operates additionally from x% to 100%. The x% and a possible overlap can be set (subject to the used transformer).

A communication-enabled digital controller, our user-friendly Thyro-P thyristor power controller accurately controls and regulates currents, voltages, and power.
Many years of experience in the field of power controllers have gone into the development of our high-end Thyro-P with its wide voltage and current range. With several operating modes and regulating and recording functions, this power controller has paved the way for the future providing a wide range of applications in the field of thermo-processing technology.

Thyro-P for glass applications
Based on the successful high-end Thyro-P product range, these power controllers have been specially optimized for glass applications. They meet even the highest requirements when it comes to reliability, precision, reproducibility and extensive communication options. Designed exclusively as a one-phase design, these units support nominal currents of up to 2,900A and voltages of up to 690V.
With an extended rated current up to 5A and a high level of precision, the optimized Thyro-P power controllers are particularly suited for glass applications, especially in the production and processing of TFT (thin film transistor liquid crystal display). Some of the product's highlights include:

Thyro-A 3A…E (Power Controller for Lighting Application)
Wherever energy saving, CO 2 reduction and cost saving are issues with regard to lighting, the Thyro-A 3A is the right choice. It is a fully digital power controller for all lighting applications including street lighting, lighting for parking areas and tunnel lighting. Suitable for all types of lamps such as sodium vapor (NAV), mercury vapor (HQL), fluroscent (TL), halogen or standard incandescent lamps, compensation or non compensation lamps, cos phi 1 -01, the Thyro-A 3A is able to switch output voltage in three steps, thus enabling significant energy and cost savings by reducing the mains voltage. Thyro-A 3A can operate as a stand-alone unit as well as within bus systems via various available bus interfaces (Profibus-DP, CANOpen, DeviceNet and ModBus RTU).
